Helping Young People With Additional Needs Find Hope and Purpose

OUR MISSION:
Life to the FULL.
To introduce young people with additional needs to Jesus and help them grow in their faith through authentic friendships and adventure connected to the local Church.

What is Capernaum?

Young Life Capernaum gives young people with additional needs the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp and other exciting activities.

Capernaum is about creating ministry spaces where teens and young adults with disabilities can meet Jesus and grow in their faith. This often looks like a Capernaum club specifically designed with our friends in mind, but it can also look like Young Life areas weaving intentional inclusion into their traditional Young Life, Wyldlife, and College ministries. Ultimately, the vision is that all students with disabilities would have a sense of belonging within Young Life.

Join the Adventure

Young Life Capernaum is a new and exciting ministry that embodies Young Life's mission to reach every kid, everywhere.

We are starting a brand new Capernaum club in 2025 in Welwyn Garden City.

If you know a teenager with Special Educational Needs, they're invited.

And if you're an adult who cares about young people with disabilities, there are a number of ways to get involved.

We promise three things: you'll have outrageous fun, you’re welcome here and we'll talk about what really matters in life - including God's extravagant love for you.
